SUMMARY:Safer Girls Project 2.0
DESCRIPTION:From February 3rd to 6th\, we worked with 78 adolescent girls across two secondary schools in Abuja. \nWe didn’t just “talk at” them. We created space. \nSpace to ask questions.\nSpace to talk about boundaries.\nSpace to understand what gender-based violence actually looks like.\nSpace to learn what to do if something feels wrong. \nFor some of the girls\, it was the first time they heard clearly explained what their rights are — and that they have the right to speak. \nWe talked about confidence. We talked about safety. We talked about menstrual health and understanding their bodies. We talked about reporting pathways and who they can trust. \nThe goal wasn’t just information. It was clarity. \nBecause confidence is important.\nBut clarity protects. \nSafer Girls continues to strengthen not just individual girls\, but the culture of safety within schools.

SUMMARY:ReIGNITE Girls Project 3.0
DESCRIPTION:ReIGNITE 3.0 was powerful. \nFrom January 19th to 24th\, we engaged 100 girls across four secondary schools — and what we saw reminded us why this work matters. \nReIGNITE is about rebuilding belief. \nWe worked with girls on: \nSelf-worth \nIdentity \nAcademic focus \nLeadership \nDecision-making \nPersonal safety \nSome of them came in unsure of themselves. Some were struggling silently. Some just needed someone to tell them that their dreams are still valid. \nOver six days\, something shifts. It always does. \nGirls begin to sit up straighter.\nThey start speaking louder.\nThey begin to name their goals. \nReIGNITE 3.0 strengthened resilience before dropout becomes reality. It reminded girls that staying in school is not just possible — it is powerful. \nWe are not just building confident girls.\nWe are reinforcing the systems that help them stay and succeed.

SUMMARY:16 Days of Activism 2025
DESCRIPTION:For the 16 Days of Activism in 2025\, we didn’t just mark the dates\, we entered classrooms and communities with intention. \nAcross schools and partner communities\, we held structured sessions focused on: \n• Recognizing gender-based violence \n• Understanding reporting pathways \n• Strengthening safeguarding awareness \n• Engaging boys as allies \n• Encouraging girls to speak \nWhat stood out most wasn’t the statistics\, it was the honesty. \nGirls asking questions they’ve never asked before.\nBoys acknowledging their role in creating safer spaces.\nTeachers recognizing the need for clearer protection systems. \nThe campaign reinforced something simple but powerful: \nEnding violence is not a slogan.\nIt requires daily action\, at home\, in school\, and in community spaces.

SUMMARY:International Day of the Girl 2025
DESCRIPTION:The International Day of the Girl Conference 2025 was more than a gathering\, it was a celebration of courage. \nUnder the theme Beyond Her Odds\, we brought together adolescent girls\, women leaders\, educators\, and partners for a powerful day of recognition\, reflection\, and responsibility. \nThis was not just a conference. It was a statement. \nHonoring Women Who Went Beyond the Odds \nOne of the most powerful moments of the day was presenting 13 awards to outstanding women who have gone beyond the odds in their fields and communities. \nThese women were not chosen randomly. They were part of the Beyond Her Odds Radio Show\, where they shared their stories\, stories of resilience\, leadership\, integrity\, and impact. \nOn that stage\, we honored women who: \n• Broke barriers\n• Challenged limitations\n• Led with courage\n• Used their voices for change \nTheir stories became mirrors for the girls in the room\, proof that rising is possible. \n• Graduating the Girls for the Future Fellows \nThe conference also marked the graduation of the *Girls for the Future Fellows*\, young women who had completed structured leadership and capacity-building sessions. \nThey didn’t just receive certificates.\nThey received recognition. \nRecognition for growth.\nFor commitment.\nFor stepping into leadership. \n• Awarding 4 Girl Champions \nWe also recognized four adolescent Girl Champions\, ggirls who demonstrated exceptional confidence\, advocacy\, and leadership within their schools and communities. \nThese young girls were not waiting to become leaders “one day.”\nThey are leading now. \nBy honoring them publicly\, we reinforced something powerful: \nGirls deserve to be celebrated while they are still growing\, not only after they have succeeded. \nThe Beyond Her Odds Conference was a reminder that: \nWhen women rise\, girls see possibility.\nWhen girls are recognized\, confidence multiplies.\nWhen stories are shared\, silence breaks. \nIt was not just an event.\nIt was a declaration that no matter the odds\, girls can rise\, lead\, and thrive.
