Who We Are

Beyond the Classroom Foundation (BTCF) is a girl-centered, nonprofit organisation based in Nigeria, committed to ensuring that every child, especially the girl child, is safe, supported, and able to learn .

We exist to remove the social, cultural, and systemic barriers that keep girls out of school and expose them to violence, exploitation, and early marriage.

We believe education is not just about access to a classroom.
It is about building the protective systems that allow girls to stay in school, grow in confidence, and thrive without fear .

Beyond the Classroom Foundation

We create protective and inclusive environments that allow girls not just to learn, but to lead.

What We Do

We strengthen the environments that shape a girl’s life.

Through direct programming, advocacy, and capacity building, we work with girls, parents, teachers, community leaders, and institutions to create protective ecosystems where girls can learn, lead, and make informed decisions about their futures.

Our work combines education access and retention.

Through safeguarding and child protection, sexual and reproductive health education, confidence and leadership development, and community engagement, ensuring that girls are not only in school, but safe, supported, and positioned to thrive.

A Nigeria where every child and girl is safe, confident, and empowered to pursue their dreams, free from violence, discrimination, and barriers to accessible and inclusive education.
