In February 2026, we walked into three public primary schools with one clear goal: make sure children return to school without the fear of being sent home.

Across LEA Karonmaji, LEA Damangaza, and LEA Durumi II, we identified pupils whose families were struggling to keep up with school fees. By the end of the three-day intervention, 80 pupils had their school fees fully paid for the year and received basic school supplies to support their learning.

For many of these children, it meant something simple but powerful, staying in class.

No embarrassment.
No interruption.
No sitting at home because of unpaid fees.

Set for School is not just about materials. It’s about dignity. It’s about stability. It’s about ensuring that financial hardship does not cut short a child’s education.

When children feel secure in school, they learn better. And that’s where futures begin.
